Boris Gavrilović is a director, editor and screenwriter based in Munich, Germany. He was born in Belgrade in 1996 and has been studying feature film directing at the HFF Munich since 2020.
His short film BALKAN, BABY was screened in the International Competition at the Clermont-Ferrand Int'l Short Film Festival in 2024, where it won the Award for Best Acting and it won the Audience Award at as well as the Second Jury Prize in the German Competition of Interfilm Berlin 2023. The film also got broadcast on ARTE. Boris was the editor on the feature-length documentary ECHOES FROM BORDERLAND (dir. Lara Milena Brose), which won the award for Best Documentary at the Max Ophüls Prize in 2024 and the CIVIS Medienpreis 2024. In 2025, he was the editor on the fictional feature film CAMOUFLAGE (dir. Mykyta Gibalenko) and his next short film, THE NEST, is currently in post-production.
On the side, Boris is also active in Munich’s cultural scene, primarily as part of the queer:raum artist collective.
